After Midnight
It's late . After Midnight . I'm restless and I stepped on the cat in the dark. Poor thing...she was just guarding the door. Her name is Midnight . We call her Midi for short. Nothing to do with those terrible little computer files.
I'm wishing I were in a club singing "Round Midnight". What a beautiful song. What a beautiful thing to do . I've been blessed to sing my way through life. I wish there were more gigs. They are fewer and farther between.Perhaps the record (excuse me -the "CD") will help. We will see.
Patsy Cline walked After Midnight, Eric Clapton let it all hang out and shook a tambourine After Midnight. Me ? I step on a kitty.LOL
There is no perfect time of day for recording thoughts, prayers, poetry, or music. Well...recording music should always be done after twelve noon.Otherwise, you are recording advertisments. That's pretty much the truth. I wish I were singing "East of Midnight" ...just the way we did it for the album - only using the upright bass - bowed - with Harvey Newmark playing. LIVE of course. I have a real hankering to hear myself
through a good system in a good club ...what was the name of that club? Oh yeah, Spazio...I need to check it out . The world needs to hear that beautiful song that Patrick Hazell created.
"East of Midnight...that's when, my love ...I'll be there for you , my friend. In the borders of the Nightime ...Just before the morning birds come alive"
Words and Music by Patrick Hazell
What a beautiful space to inhabit...East of Midnight ...so peaceful...so quiet...like to go there again. Let's find a way to turn those lights out.
In the borders of the Nightime...a beautiful place to live. I was a lucky one.I got to spend most of my days at Night.
You know, the Nightime is the right time to be with the One you love. And, the Nightlife ain't no good life, BUT it's my life. I Wish.
